How To Play Texas Holdem:

1

Our games start with two players to the left of the dealer placing out a predetermined number of chips, these are called posting the blinds. Antes can also be use, but we don't mess with them.

2

The dealer shuffles up a standard deck of 52 playing cards (prefferably a deck that Mike has not marked any cards).

3

Each player is dealt two cards face down. These are called your hole or pocket cards.

4

Then there is a round of betting starting with the guy to the left of the two who posted the blinds. This is a good place to know what two cards are worth calling, raising, or going all-in.

5

Unless you are the big blind other players can call, raise, or fold.

6

After the betting round ends, the dealer discards (or burns) the top card of the deck, and flips the next three cards face up on the table.

7

This is called the flop. These are cards anyone can use in combination with their two pocket cards to form a poker hand.

8

Another round of betting starting with the player to the left of the dealer.

9

The dealer burns another card and flips one more onto the table.

10

This is called the turn, and players can use this card similar to the cards from the flop. Just keep in mind your are tryin to make a 5 card poker hand.

11

Another round of betting starting with the player to the left of the dealer.

12

The dealer burns a card and places the last card face up on the table better know as the river. Again, keep in mind your are tryin to make a 5 card poker hand.

13

The final round of betting starting with the player to the left of the dealer.

14

And now the showdown. If there is still more than one person in the hand, each of the players reveal their hands. Starting with the player that got called, or if there is more then two people in the pot start with the person to the left of the last player to call. It's called the showdown.

15

The player who shows the best 5 card poker hand wins! Unless multiple players have the same ranking hand, then it will be a split pot and each play will get an equal portion of the pot.
